We’re knocking down walls for open plan living, integrating kitchen islands, introducing banquet seating, and re-evaluating colour palettes to add interest and personality. These trends are certainly ones that I can jump on board with, as they allow us to connect with family and loved ones, which could look like a hectic breakfast around the kitchen island with kids, or a sophisticated dinner party that has been tablescaped to perfection. This sense of community is paramount for lifting our endorphins – especially in a post pandemic world!

Today, I’m dedicating this blog to my favourite season, and to a few beautiful homeware pieces that I happen to have found – and fallen in love with – within it. Warm rusty colour palettes, ochre undertones, cosy knits… now that really is just a bit of me.

It’s no secret that choosing the right lighting for a room can completely transform a space. With so much choice out there however, it can sometimes be hard to select the right lighting that reflects your style, and serves the correct function for a room. I wanted to dedicate this post to a few brands that I am loving right now – but first, let’s have a look into the different types of lighting; and how each type has its own merit within a particular space.
